The Ruth Lee Offshore Rescue training manikin is designed for practicing emergency situations and evacuations (both by sea and by helicopter) on offshore drilling platforms, offshore wind farms, and generally across the maritime industry.

The Offshore Rescue training manikin is heavier than the Man Overboard (MOB) training manikin, weighing 60 kg dry at a height of 1.8 m. It can be used with a life jacket for water rescue training. When lifted out of the water, the manikin weighs approximately 95 kg.

The increased weight makes the Offshore Rescue training manikin suitable for rescue training from accommodation and engine rooms, as well as from wind turbine equipment rooms/towers. The manikin’s durable protective overalls are designed to withstand use in challenging environments.

When entering the water, the manikin’s legs sink quickly, leaving only the head visible on the surface (a life jacket must be used with the Offshore manikin in water; otherwise, it may sink).

The manikin’s construction also makes it suitable for all kinds of working at height and rope access training.

Like other Ruth Lee adult-size training manikins, the Offshore Rescue manikin can be fitted with an immobilization/extrication collar around the neck to train proper casualty care.
